Concentrating on studying is one of those things that most of the students find hard to do these days. Are you also facing the same problem? Are you unable to focus on the subject you are studying? If you give a nod to this question, then this article is for you only.
70% of students are familiar with the problem that they can’t sit and concentrate on the subject even for an hour. The reasons for this may vary, either it be lack of enthusiasm, too many distractions or your way of studying. If you find yourself constantly checking social media or going to the kitchen for snacks when you know you’re meant to be studying, it’s a sure sign that you need to be taking steps to improve your concentration levels.
Clear your head!

The first thing to do is clear your head before you start studying. Difficulty in concentration can be caused if you have something on your mind. Just remember, you have goals to achieve and a path to follow. 10 minutes of meditation can help you to clear your mind & improve your concentration power.
Distractions!

Next biggest reason for low concentration is a lot of distractions. Say it be social media, T.V., video games or sometimes siblings also! If you feel your productivity is suffering from a multitude of distractions, it’s time to change your studying environment. Eliminate the things which you think are your weaknesses be it your mobile phone or television. Limit your socializing to weekends. Set your study room to a different room where you can be away from all the distractions.
Low interest!

Another reason for less concentration can be lack of interest. You may consider the topic/subject boring. Just ask yourself why are you studying this topic? Try to relate the topic to your daily life. Ask yourself : “Is this subject really boring, or does it seem that way, because I have closed my mind to it?” Remember one thing “There are no boring subjects, only disinterested minds!”
Last but not the least, set your goal and make a promise to yourself that no matter what, I am going to achieve it! Focus & determination are the keys to success. Remember Arjuna, one of the five Pandavas! When Acharya Drona wanted to test his pupils, he stuck a toy bird in a tree and asked all of them what they could see. All of them gave different answers like, trees, leaves, etc. & missed their aim. Only Arjun, without missing a beat, said he could only see the bird’s eye & he perfectly pierced his aim !
So grab a spoon and follow these tips and you will soon be on your way to becoming a successful student.
